Miami Hotels
Hotels provide free customer pick-up and drop-off service to the airports (confirm ahead). The drivers know their regular routes and alternate routes. However, as in any big city, unexpected traffic delays will occur. Allow extra travel time when catching a flight, even if you are only two miles away.

If you need to stay close to the MIA Miami International Airport — and also wish to be in a friendly, beautiful, walkable area with parks, playgrounds, restaurants, and more — the answer is a hotel in the City of Miami Springs.
Note: Do not walk directly from the MIA International Airport to ANY location outside of the airport. There are No sidewalks. Roadway traffic is heavy, fast, and dangerous. Use the free hotel shuttles to and from the airport — or rent a car — or hire a taxi — or enlist a local friend to drive you.
Miami Springs Hotels are mostly on NW 36th Street, on the northern border of the airport, a very busy six-lane highway. However — immediately behind NW 36th Street you can enjoy quiet sidewalks, parks, and playgrounds in a beautiful neighborhood shaded by tall trees.
A 30-minute walk will take you to the village center, or catch a ride on the Free Bee Shuttle (Monday through Friday except holidays, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm). If you follow the Curtiss Parkway, you will pass through the beautiful Miami Springs Golf Course, open to the public.
The Miami Springs town center has park benches to rest your feet. A view of the Miami River is only one block further. Restaurants, gyms, barbers, beauty salons, drug stores, a grocery store, a health food store, coffee shops, and more provide all you may need.
